The Colour Wheel Series pt. 1.
These works, are the start in my responses to investigations in, and pushing theories around the interactions of colour, inspired by the works of Josef Albers. These prints play with the layering of colours on paper and how they work with each other using collagraph and other intaglio techniques as opposed to screenprint used by Albers. Each are an edition of 20. A triptych of BB, RR, YY is currently exhibiting in the Royal Academy of Arts, Summer Exhibition until 23 August 2026
These were submitted to the JaguarXRCA Awards, and I was honoured to have been chosen as one of the five Award winners. Inspired by the creative philosophy 'Copy Nothing', championed by William Lyons, the founder of Jaguar. We each received a bursary to go towards our practice.
